We've got some really important deadlines for the March show! It's in less than a month. GAH!
Saturday, February 12th - ALL songs must be in. Not just the title of the song and not a youtube version. An actual version that I can own and put on a play list. Songs should not exceed 3 minutes and 30 seconds in length.
Sunday, February 20th - Show me date! I need to see at least 80% of your dance.
There will be other rehearsals at The Lunch Studio and all of that will be worked out *hopefully* soon and posted here.
As these shows book up it's important to stay true to our deadlines. If we can't, the quality of work will be lacking and some will fall behind and those that are not keeping up with it will really feel bad when their numbers are not as well recieved as the rest. I'd like for that to not happen so I'm giving some fair warning now. *If your song is not in by the deadline we will not be doing it and the number will be given to someone else. If your dance is not at least 80% complete by the show me date you will not be able to perform it in the show.*
Really, I'm not trying to be harsh. This is what we need to do to maintain our audience, improve our acts and keep booking shows. Remember, it's okay to say that you cannot commit to a show one month but it isn't okay to commit and then not be prepared. This also goes for lateness! I start on time, if you're not there (save real emergencies and things you've worked out with me beforehand) you may not be asked to perform in the next show. I want this to be fun but it also needs to be professional. That's how we create a success!!

CURTAIN CALL: Time Warp
Just trying to think a bit ahead -- when do you  the tech and dress rehearsals might be? Chris has some dates coming up and I wanted to coordinate things with him because of childcare issues.
ReplyDeleteSarah, all we need to do is talk to Tracy about it! It really is up to her. I'd like to get in there at least two times. Ideally this would be a few days before the show. Since you've been the one speaking to her about the show, would you like to coordinate this time?
ReplyDeleteSure thing -- are there day(s) & time(s) that just don't work for someone?
ReplyDeleteI do have things going on at this time, but I think it would be best to get a list of possible times from Tracy and then go from there.
ReplyDeleteKristina, ignore my other post about a list of eras. It's here, and I am stupid.
